Sunflower Bento

The things we do for our children!! So yesterday, after a full day of work and a workout I headed to the kitchen to cook dinner. I knew today baby A. was heading back to class and I had sort of planned a bento in my head. After cooking the components, which were fairly easy, all I had to do was assemble it. I debated whether or not to wait until very early this morning to put it all together like I did last time, but decided I would just go ahead and leave it ready. After we finished dinner I went back into the kitchen and what proceeded was a two hour bento assembly. I had to cut each little petal by hand, then set it all so it would look like a sunflower. Then I had the great idea of making a cherry tomato stuffed with a creamy cheese filling which I had dyed blue, just to have baby A. try it and say she didn’t like it -_- so that got scrapped …

Gabose Korean Barbecue

Name: Gabose Korean & Japanese Cuisine: Korean, Japanese Location: 4991 N University Dr Lauderhill, FL 33351 Gabose has won a lot of local awards. A lot of publications named it the best Korean barbecue in the area, therefore we decided we had to try it! A little information on how it works. You can choose to sit in a normal table and have food brought to you from the kitchen (boring), or you can choose to sit in the barbecue area, where you get to cook your own food. There are exhaust vacuums hanging from the ceiling that will pull in most of the smoke and the food smells so that you wont leave smelling like a kitchen. Also it will help you control the fire, if you are getting too much flame-ups then bring the …

Efes Bistro Review

Name: Efes Bistro Fish & Grill House Cuisine: Turkish, Mediterranean Location: 8903 Glades Rd Boca Raton, FL 33434 This place was a bit of a mixed bag. The food was good, we ordered the lamb chops and they were perfectly cooked but for $30 a plate they better be. The lentil soup it came with was creamy but had a bit of an odd aftertaste. The salad was average. The service was where we had a little trouble, they didn’t bring our drinks out after we ordered them and had to ask the waiter again to bring them. We also got no refills until we were about to leave. The main problem was when we ordered dessert, we were actually scolded by our waitress saying that we should have let her know when we sat down what we wanted for dessert despite there being no indication that that’s how it should be done. I understand that we were there at the end of their operating hours but there were other parties there that arrived later than …
